Recipe Questions & Answers

How do I know when the dough has risen enough?

The dough is ready when it has doubled in size and looks noticeably puffy. Gently pressing a finger into the dough should leave a slight indentation that slowly fills back in.

Can I add herbs to enhance flavor?

Yes, adding dried herbs like rosemary or thyme to the dough before kneading enhances aroma and flavor without overpowering the buttery notes.

What is the best way to achieve a golden crust?

Brushing the rolls with melted butter before and immediately after baking helps develop a beautiful golden, shiny crust with a rich taste.

Can I prepare these rolls dairy-free?

Substitute whole milk with plant-based milk and butter with vegan margarine to create a dairy-free version that remains soft and flavorful.

How should I reheat leftover rolls?

Warming the rolls gently in the oven restores their soft texture and buttery flavor, making them taste fresh again.
